To everyone that attended (and organized) a LUTN event tonight we truly did light up the night a little bit tonight. I hope your experience was as moving as ours was out in Long Beach.
Long Beach LUTN
It was truly inspiring to see everyone together, on the street, out in force, candles in hand, working side-by-side with our friends in faith.
Thank you to everyone that braved the cold and marched with us for hours tonight with your candles to support equal rights!
A special thanks goes out to Stephanie for all of her work in organizing her congregation to come join us tonight. They came out in force to support us and they were just incredible. We will be sending them a personal thank you to express our heartfelt appreciation for their love and support.
I also have to say thank you to Tom for guiding all of us and bringing his energy and experience in on everything we do.
And thank you to everyone that brought food for the food drive! We will filled those bins to the top!
We also had incredible turnout from businesses on 2nd. So many of them put up our symbol on their storefronts to support our efforts. Some even spontaneously came out to march with us! The Long Beach police were also stellar.
Every time we work side by side, it has an impact. It may not always seem like it is making any difference, but it does.
All of these small events that took place throughout the country add up, sending good energy into the world. I was personally very touched to see how many people of faith came out to support us.
Thanks for coming out. It was wonderful meeting each of you, and seeing some of you for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time!! You know who you are :) And to those that came a long way to be with us, we could not be more grateful for your support. I hope you all had a safe trip home.
Hugs & Happy Holidays,
-s
